membership requirements
If you believe in the power of prayer, you are eligible for membership. In addition, Prayers & Squares members must agree to follow these “Three Commandments”.
Remember the Prayers & Squares motto: “It’s not about the quilt, it’s all about the prayers.” Your purpose is not to give away quilts, but to involve as many people as possible in prayer.
Ask first – surprises are not appropriate. Ask if the quilt recipient will accept your gift of prayer. Ask how they would like you to pray. Ask what specific information about their situation may be shared with others.
Do not accept any form of payment for a prayer quilt; it is a gift of love and prayer which cannot be bought or sold. Those who request or receive prayer quilts should not feel obligated to Prayers & Squares in any way.
Other than these three basic rules, we encourage you to structure your ministry to best serve the needs of your group.
